Shri Reshandigiri Tirth

Mulnayak: Nearly 335 cms. high, almond-colored idol of Bhagawan Parshvanath in the Khadgasana posture.

Tirth: It is on a small high hill near the Resandigiri village.

Historicity: This temples remained unseen for centuries. Nearly a hundred years ago, this ancient temple was found by digging on the hill according to the dream seen by a Shravak. This is called the Parshvanath temple. This tirth is believed to belong to the times of Bhagawan Parshvanath. This is the place of Samavasaran of Bhagawan Parshvanath. Many miracles happen here many times. There is a slab of stone in the center of the river near the tirth. It is called Sddhashila. Muni Varadatt practised penance on it and attained the final liberation. A fair is held here every year from the eleventh day to the fifteenth day of the bright half of the month of Magasar.

Other Temples: Besides this, there are 35 temples on the hill and there are fifteen temples at the foot of the hill. As in Pavapuri, one temple is in the midst of water. It is called Jalmandir.

Works of art and Sculpture: Found from the ground, these idols of the twelfth century are handsome. The idols of Munindradatt, Indradatt Vardatt, Gundatt and Sagardsatt, sitting in the samvasaran are in this temple. They are delightful. The natural scene of this place is fascinating.

Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Sagar is at a distance of 56 kilometers and Shahgadh, the nearest village is at a distance of 13 kilometers from this tirth. Boarding and lodging provisions at the foot of hill, are good. Buses and private vehicles can easily travel.
