The history of this ancient tirth belongs to the times of Bhagawan

Kalyanakas of Bhagawan. God Kuber constructed the first samavasarana of
Bhagawan here. In times of Bhagawan Mahavir, King Shatanik ruled here.
Bhagawan Mahavir many times came here wandering about and his samavasrana
was also setup here. This ancient tirth is mentioned in the ’Vividh
Tirth kalpa’ and many other scriptures written between the 14th century
and the 18th century of the Vikram era. Some time in the past,
this was a large city but in course of time, it is reduced to small
village. The fort with twenty gates built by Maharani Mrugavati of King
