Mulnayak: Nearly 120 cms. high, white-colored idol of Bhagawan Adishvar in the Padmansana posture.

Tirth: It is in the Badnavar village on the mountanous Vindhya range at a height of 1650 feet from the sea-shore.

Historicity: It is believed that nearly 2250 years ago, this idol was installed by King Samprati, the grandson of Emperor Ashok. Formerly, there were many temples here and this was a large city of Jains. It seems that this temple was renovated many times. since this is a miraculous place, the idol is not broken though the temple suffered many strokes. The last renovation was accomplished by the Sangha at the hands of Shri Motivijayji in the year 1984 of the Vikram era. Even today many miracles happen. The devotees always see three forms of God - childhood, youth and old age. Many non-Jains also come here to bow their head to God. On the first day of the bright half of the month of Bhadrapad every year, after the reading of God’s birth, small lamps are waved before the idol by way of worship. At that time, water-drops are seen on the walls of the cellar only on that particular day.

Other Temples: Besides this temple, there is another temple. It is also 200 years old. There the doll of Manibhadravir is very ancient miraculous and impressive.

Works of art and Sculpture: The remains of the temple and some idols remind one of its antiquity. Since the temple is renovated, not so much of the ancient art is seen.

Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Badnagar on the dhar-Ratlam railway line, is at a distance of 26 kilometers and Ratlam is at a distance of 40 kilometers from this temple. Bus service and private vehicles are available. Boarding and lodging provisions are there.

Trust: Shri Adinath Jain Svetambar Pedhi, Badnavar - 454660. Dist : Dhar, State : Madhya Pradesh, India.
