Mulnayak: Nearly 365 cms. high, white-colored idol of
Bhagawan Simandhar Swami in the Padmasana posture.
Tirth: On the outskirts of the Mehsana city on the
Ahmedabad-Mehsana highway.
Historicity: Under the inspiration of Acharya Kailassagarsuri
Maharaj Saheb, the new idol was formally installed in the new temple on the sixth day of
the bright half of the month of Vaishakh in the year 2028 of the Vikram era. This temple
is 161 ft. long, 97 ft. broad and 107 ft. high. This gives an idea of the grandeur of the
temple. On seeing Shri Simandhar Swami Moksha Praveshadvar at the gateway, the
pilgrims dance with joy.
Other Temples: There are fifteen other temples in the city. The largest temple is of
Manamohan Parshvanath Bagawan.
Works of art and Sculpture: Nowhere in India, there is such a splendid large
temple of Bhagawan Simandhar Swami and such a large idol. It seems as if the waving flag
of the beautiful temple on the highway, tells the glorious story of Bhagawan
Simandhar
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Mehsana is at a
distance of two kilometers. From this temple on the Ahmedabad-Delhi highway, bus service
and vehicles are easily available. In the compound of the temple there are boarding and
lodging provisions. An upashraya is also there.
