Mulnayak: Nearly 46 cms. high, white - colored idol of
Bhagawan Gambhira Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture.
Tirth: It is in the central part of the village Gambhu.
Historicity: It is believed that the history of this place
belongs to the ninth century. Its ancient name was Gambhira or
Gambhuta. Idols of many Tirthankaras were made here. Acharya Sheelankacharya
composed the Acharanga Sutra and the scripture Sushrut here.
Other Temples: There are no other temples.
Works of art and Sculpture: It seems that the Gods idol is smiling. Many
ancient idols were found here from the hollow of the ground. Some idols were sent to
Bombay, Palitana, Talaja and other places and some are still there in the hollow of the
Ground.
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Mehsana is 16
kilometers away, Taxi services and bus services are available here. Since the temple is in
the central part of the village, there is a rough road to it. Pilgrims can go to Gambhu
via Ganeshpura on the Mehsana - Modhera road. There are dharmashalas. For use on Journey,
food is given here to the pilgrims.
