Historicity
This sacred place is believed to belong to the thirteenth century, The king got a large and deep Vav (Stepped well) built there. Later on, he declared this place as the capital. It was named Vav. As the story goes, the idol of this temple was in the town of Tharad which is 12 kilometers away. In order to save this valuable idol from attacks of the Mogul Emperor Allauddin, Shravakas brought the idol to Vav and reinstalled it here.

Dhima is at distance of 12 km. and Bhorol is at a distance of 22 km. from this place. At this place, there is dharmashala managed by the Sangha. There is also a bhojanashala.
