It is in the street of the big temple in the town of Tharad.
Historicity
The ancient names of this city were Thirpur, Thiradi, Tharadara, Thirapadra etc. History says that a very large and high temple with 52 idols was built here in the year 1444 of the Vikram era. Maharaja Kumarpal built here a place named 'Kumar Vihar'. There was a time when this was a very large city and thousands of Shravakas lived there. They made many attempts to uplift religion. 'Shetrunjaya Teerthayatra' sangha lead by the great merchant, Abha, in the year 1340 of the Vikram era, is very well known. The title of 'Paschim Mandalik’ was bestowed upon Abha and the title of 'Laghu kashmir' was bestowed on the sangha.
