Shri Hathising's Dera Tirth
Historicity
This temple occupies a unique place in the History of Jinalayas of Gujarat. This beautiful and large Derasar consisting of 52 temples was built with great love and devotion by Sheth Shri Hathisinghji with his own funds. This temple reminds us of his piousness and generosity today. He wanted to inaugurate this temple with a unique function but died before he could. After his death, his pious and wise wife Shethani Harkorbai inagurated the temple with a 21 day festival at the cost of lakhs of rupees. The inaguration was done on Thursday, Posh Vad 11, Vikram Samvat.1903 at the hands of Acharaya Shri ShantisagarSurishwarji.
Works of art and Sculpture
All art here is par excellence .The Art here, reminds one of the Abu Delwada. Feguson, James Samuelson, Anandkumarswami and Ratnamanirao, etc have all praised the sculptures around this temple.
Guidelines
The temple is at a distance of 3 K.M from the Ahmedabad Railway station. Rickshaws, Buses and Taxis are all available from the Railway station. All Boarding and lodging facilities are available within the temple compound. An upashraya is also situated in the Temple compound. There are many good hotels around, within a distance of 1-2KM.
