Shri Udaypur Tirth

Mulnayak: Nearly 84 cms high, white-colored idol of Bhagawan Chanda Parshvanath without a hood and in the Padmasana posture.
 
Tirth:
It is on the palace road in the Udaypur city.

Historicity: The name of Udaypur reminds us of brave adventures of the heroic Rana Pratap. This city of Udaypur was settled by Rana Udaysinh and it is surrounded by natural hills on all sides. This city has a population of more than three lakhs of people and there are among them more than 50 thousand Jains. This chief city of Mevad is an important tirth of Jains. Many ancient temples in this city are delightful. On this pinnacled temple of Bhagawan Chanda Parshvanath, there is an inscription, of the year 1325 of the Vikram era. This ancient temple was renovated by Rugnathsinh in the year 1982 of the Vikram era. Glazed tiles on the walls and the painting of clay on the ceiling are attractive. This idol of Parshvanath in Udaypur is also called the Udiyakar Parshvanath.

Other Temples: There are as many as forty other temples.

Works of art and Sculpture: Udaypur has witnessed many glorious historical events. Many buildings, forts and palaces are present there. The idol without a hood shines with many colors and arousesauspicious feelings in the hearts of the worshippers.

Guidelines: Bus service and private vehicles are available. It is a chief city of Rajasthan for pilgrims and tourists. boarding and lodging provisions are there. There are also an ayambilshala and an upashraya.
