Padmansana posture.

Historicity:
This tirth is very ancient. There is a mention that the ancient names of
this place were Tarapur, Taranpur and Tungiyapattan. On an idol in the
temple, there is an inscription that it was installed in the year 612 of
the Vikram era. It is said that a farmer found 13 ancient idols and
Svetambars and Digambars installed the idols in their several temples. It
is difficult to find elsewhere idols of the color of the stone idols
installed here. There is a mention that Pethod Shah, the advisor to the
King of Mandavgadh built a temple here in the thirteenth century. This
shows that it was a city of Jains for centuries. This idol was reinstalled
under the auspicies of Acharya Rajendrasurishvarji in the year 1950 of the
Vikram era. A fair is held here on the fifteenth day of the bright half of
the month of Kartak.
