Parshvanath in the Padmansana posture.
Tirth:
It is in the Kukadeshar village.
Historicity:
This tirth is believed to be 1050 years old. On the present idol in the
temple, there is an inscription of the year 1976 of the Vikram era. The
original idol was swept far away in the flow of time. The present black
stone idol of Parshvanathji presents a delightful scene to devotees. In
the depth of his splendid future, a Brahmin saw Parshvanath, the future
Tirthankara as the architect of eternal happiness and in memory of his
last two births, he got a beautiful idol of Parshvanathji made and got it
installed in the present temple. Kurkateshvar Parshvanath is known in the
popular language by the name, Kakadeshvar. This temple is recently
renovated. A fair is held here every year on the tenth day of the bright
half of the month of Bhadrapad.
Other
Temples:
There is no other temple.
