Mulnayak: Nearly 23 cms. high, catechu - colored idol of
Bhagawan Bhateva Parshvanath with a waist - band and in the Padmasana postrre along with
the idols of Dharanedra and Padmavati.
Tirth: It is in a street in the town of Chanasma.
Historicity: Under instructions of Acharyashri
Ajitasinhasurisvarji of the Achalagachchha, this temple was established by Surchand
Shravak in the year 1335 of the Vikram era. it was renovated by Shravaka Ravinchandra of
Chansama in the year 1535 of the Vikram era. On account of facing many good and bad
conditions, it is believed that this idol was preserved in the hollow of the earth. Since
this idol was found from the hollow of the earth in the Bhatuar Village, this is called
the idol of Bhateva Parshvanath. This idol is made of sand and is very impressive.
Other Temples: There is no other temple.
Works of art and Sculpture: Along with the idols of Dharanendra and Padmavati,
this girded idol made of sand, looks very pleasing. This sacred place on the Mehsana -
Harij high way, is excellently grand.
Guidelines: This temple is at a distance of one kilometer from
the Chanasama railway station on the Mehsana - Harij road. There are dharmashalas and
bhojanashalas in front of the station.
